Fall 2013 Athletic Field Maintenance Students

Athletic Field Maintenance students work on Kirkwood's baseball field.  Maintenance included lip repairs, new homeplate, new mound rubber and re-slope, installation of base paths, and sodding.  Kudos to the students and their efforts.  Job well done.

Kirkwood Community College will be taking 10 students to particpate in the 2014 STMA Student Challange in San Antanio, TX.  The students have been studying since the beginning of September and will continue over the Christmas Break.

New Equipment

New to the horticulture department this year a toro grandstand aerator. Students have enjoyed the operation of this machine and has been very efficient in our home lawn aeration fundraising.
